I made this because right now this is true for me. I decided to just give my body a break and start working out again when the soreness and the hip pain are gone.

This is very true. That soreness is your muscles healing. If its too sore focus on something or just give it a break.
same. been doing mainly ab work, yoga and stretching the last few weeks since my ankle has hurting. Listen to your body...
